Responsibilities:
- Organize case files, track critical deadlines, and prepare trial materials to ensure efficient case management.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather and verify key information for cases.
- Maintain accurate data entry, manage case-related files, and provide administrative support to the legal team.
- Utilize legal software tools such as Aderant and case management systems to streamline workflows.
- Coordinate and manage billing functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
- Research legal precedents and summarize findings to assist attorneys with case preparation.
- Handle calendar management, including scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to ensure timely and effective case progression.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a legal setting.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management systems.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals.
- Familiarity with tools like CompuLaw and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is preferred.
- Experience in handling billing functions and claim administration processes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to draft and review legal documents with precision.
- Knowledge of legal procedures and document preparation requirements.
