Position Overview:
We are seeking a bilingual Legal Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to communicate clearly with clients. You will primarily assist with immigration applications and estate planning files, helping to ensure our clients feel supported and informed throughout their legal journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare immigration forms, declarations, and under attorney supervision Communicate with clients in English and Spanish to gather information and provide updates Maintain and organize digital files using Docketwise and other software tools Track deadlines and manage appointments and reminders Assist with follow-ups, FOIA requests, and document collection Draft letters and simple legal documents Handle administrative tasks such as scanning, mailing, and phone support
Requirements:
Fully bilingual (Spanish/English) – written and verbal Previous experience in immigration law preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Friendly and professional communication style Comfortable with technology and willing to learn legal software (Docketwise experience is a plus) Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
