3+ years with Medical Malpractice background About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Insurance Defense practice. The ideal candidate brings strong med mal knowledge and proven legal administrative expertise.
Key Responsibilities :
Draft, proofread, edit, and redact legal documents and contracts. Maintain attorney calendars and schedule meetings, hearings, and deadlines. Manage attorney billing, time entry, invoicing, and ensure client billing compliance. Process vendor and expert invoices; handle new case setup and file closures. Answer client/team calls and route inquiries as needed. Organize client materials and attorney work products. File and serve court documents via Florida e-filing systems and related platforms. Update litigation management portals (Case Glide, Acuity, Legal Tracker, etc.). Use firm software efficiently for daily tasks. Perform general administrative duties, including file management and expense tracking. 3-5 years of legal assistant experience in insurance defense/medmal
