We are growing rapidly and are looking for candidates who want to work with a group of bright, determined and fun individuals. We are seeking a highly motivated Paralegal with experience in insurance defense and the desire to continue to learn as the scope of our business expands. Successful candidates will support our attorneys in defending civil litigation matters including all aspects of our current caseload of bodily Injury or personal injury claims. Under general supervision, responsibilities will include the following: Draft, review and revise routine legal documents, including but not limited to responses to discovery requests (including coordinating completion and signature by client) and routine discovery motions; Support Attorneys by gathering, analyzing and organizing information; Maintain good working relationships with attorneys, outside departments, courts, clients and third parties; Manage the E-filing and service of court documents for assigned caseload; Assist with scheduling (depositions, hearings, mediations, etc.) and calendaring as needed; Ability to tackle projects and specific assignments as requested by management;

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher, and/or a Paralegal Certification preferred; Minimum 2-4 year’s experience as a Paralegal required; Minimum 2-4 year’s experience handling insurance defense cases; Excellent English written and oral communication skills, Spanish is a plus; Knowledge or the ability to learn Microsoft and/or Google suite of programs including, but not limited to Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides; Knowledge or the ability to learn case management software and internal best practices/standards set by the firm; Must be detail-oriented with the ability to follow through assigned tasks independently; Must be team player, who is flexible, and willing to perform other tasks as as needed; bonus if you can have fun while you do.
