Overview Nelson Mullins is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with our firm to support our attorneys in handling complex commercial litigation and business litigation matters in both State and Federal courts. A Day in the Life The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting attorneys with a diverse range of tasks, from drafting pleadings to coordinating discovery efforts. Responsibilities include preparing drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions under the guidance of attorneys. Additionally, you will assist in preparing deposition notices, organize deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries, as well as manage case files for experts and corporate witness deposition preparation. You will also be responsible for tracking and managing discovery, including the preparation and service of document productions, and participating in litigation strategy meetings to contribute insights as needed. We Know You To excel in this role, you must have at least 5 plus years of experience as a litigation paralegal. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to handle complex legal matters are essential. We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to issue resolution and a true team player mentality. Proficiency in utilizing technology and a willingness to learn new software are important, along with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to enhancing teamwork, client services, and efficiency. The Ideal candidate would have a 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate; however, work experience may be substituted for education. Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs may be required.
