Full Job Description Position Overview:

As a Paralegal at GFI, you will join and contribute to our dynamic legal team with your expertise in document revision and case analysis. You will be responsible for revising and formatting legal documents such as cover letters, legal arguments, declarations, and supporting evidence. This role involves rapid and accurate analysis of legal documents related to cases, including FBI background checks, FOIAs, and court dispositions, which will be essential to ensure thorough case reviews and timely submissions for attorney review.

Responsibilities:

Revising cover letters, legal arguments, declarations, forms, and supporting evidence according to the company’s guidelines. Able to quickly analyze and review legal documents pertaining to assigned cases, such as FBI Background checks, FOIAs, Police Reports, Court Dispositions, etc. Complete the review of each assigned case in a timely manner and submit them for attorney review. Communicate efficiently with different team members and departments. Provide feedback to other team members who worked on earlier stages of the case according to the company’s guidelines. Actively participate in weekly meetings with the Team Leader and Supervisor, addressing issues and problems encountered during the case review and possible solutions Other duties may be assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree, A.A. or A.S and Paralegal Certificate Minimum 2 years of Immigration Experience – preferred humanitarian immigration Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team. Ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Analytical and critical thinking. Computer proficient (Microsoft Suite)Time Management Skills. Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.
