Paralegal Falk, Waas, Solomon, Mendlestein & Davis Coral Gables, FL Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paralegal. This Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all stages of litigation, particularly in Medical Malpractice defense.
Duties:
Review, organize and categorize medical records, cased files, and other relevant documents Prepare responses to requests for information, including discovery requests and interrogatories Communicates with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel Prepare trial exhibits, coordinating witness testimony , and assisting with trial preparation. Coordinating depositions, hearings, and other court-related events Calendar trial order timely Identify and contacting expert witness who can provide testimony in the case Capture billable time in case management system Request bills and medical records Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 3+ years of experience in Medical Malpractice litigation defense Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
