Position Summary:

This position provides integral support to the employment legal team with respect to a variety of employment law matters including litigation administrative charges advisory services and strategic initiatives To be successful in this role you will need to be detail-oriented have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

NOTE:

This is a full-time in-person role based in Miami FL Applicants must be available to work in Miami FL Monday – Thursday The company currently permits employees to work from home on

Friday Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and draft responses to legal pleadings administrative charges and other legal correspondence and pleadings Gather and analyze documents and information related to employment claims and investigations Organize and maintain case files pleadings subpoena responses discovery responses and task trackers Draft and assist in the preparation and coordination of responses to subpoenas writs of garnishments discovery requests legal pleadings litigation holds and template updates Coordinate with in-house counsel business personnel and outside counsel in connection with litigation and other employment law projects training materials and policy updates Assist with research and tracking local laws and legal updates in various jurisdictions Assist with administrative tasks such as calendaring billing processing settlement checks and other related tasks Other tasks as needed to support the legal department

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:

Associate’s degree Paralegal certificate Three (3) years of paralegal experience in a corporate in-house legal department or law firm General understanding of labor employment and maritime laws impacting operations including Title

VII FLSA ADA FMLA
