Job Description
Paralegal – Bankruptcy, Creditors Rights and Commercial Litigation Dunn Law, P.A. Miami, FL 33130 Dunn Law, P.A., a boutique law firm in Downtown Miami, is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Paralegal to support our attorneys in a range of creditors’ rights matters, including bankruptcy (primarily trustee and creditor representation), collections, commercial litigation, and related state court cases. The Senior Paralegal will play a critical role in case strategy and execution, supporting our attorneys throughout the lifecycle of each matter.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with case analysis, investigation, and document review for bankruptcy trustees and other creditor-side clients. Draft legal documents including motions, affidavits, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and legal correspondence. Conduct legal research, public records searches, and factual investigations to support litigation strategies. Coordinate and assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Manage court filings in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts (primarily electronic filings). Maintain accurate and organized case files—both physical and electronic—ensuring up-to-date records and deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
What We’re Looking For:
Demonstrated experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy (preferably trustee-side), creditors’ rights, collections, foreclosure, or commercial litigation. Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures and rules, especially Chapter 7 primarily trustee and creditor representation experience preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel; experience with MyCase or similar case management software a plus. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of active matters. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude. Industry-recognized paralegal certification preferred. Spanish language skills are a plus.
