This is a great opportunity for a skilled paralegal with residential and commercial real estate experience to join a collaborative legal team and play a key role in managing real estate transactions from contract to close.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage due diligence processes for a range of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. Review and summarize title commitments and property surveys. Work with title companies to resolve title issues and ensure timely delivery of title policies. Utilize closing platforms such as Qualia to support transaction workflows. Prepare, review, and file legal documents, including deeds, mortgages, leases, and UCC financing statements. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain permits and related documentation. Create and distribute closing binders and maintain transaction files. Develop and maintain detailed closing checklists; facilitate communication among parties to coordinate all aspects of the closing process. Handle real estate matters from contract execution through final closing. Collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and outside counsel to ensure seamless transaction execution.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Strong knowledge of real estate law, title review, foreclosure, REO processes, financing, and lending documentation. Familiarity with real estate closing procedures and legal documentation. Experience with Qualia or similar closing software preferred.
