Bilingual Immigration Paralegal The Arroyo Law Firm Orlando, FL 32801 • Hybrid work Our law firm is a dynamic and growing criminal defense law firm based in Orlando, FL. With a strong commitment to providing high-quality, aggressive legal representation, we have expanded our practice to include immigration law. We are seeking a skilled and experienced immigration paralegal to join our team and help us continue to build our immigration law practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a paralegal who is passionate about advocating for immigrant rights and navigating the complexities of immigration law, including but not limited to family based petitions, removal defense, and humanitarian cases. As our firm expands, we are looking for a motivated, part-time paralegal who is eager to contribute to our success and who is willing to grow with our firm. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and have a passion for immigration law with experience handling a wide range of immigration matters in both Immigration Court and USCIS, including ICE Bonds, removal proceedings, deportation defense, family-based immigration, VAWA, asylum claims, and employment visas. This is currently a part-time position. Hybrid position with a flexible schedule. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a must. Must have 2-5 years of legal experience. Pay is based upon experience. The position requires the ability to think fast, have proficient computer skills, and provide excellent customer service to our clients. Knowledge of Microsoft office, Microsoft outlook, e-filing, and case management software are required. Immigration experience is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare USCIS forms and analyze case documents, including but not limited to family-based petitions, adjustment of status, provisional waivers, naturalization, and U-Visas. Preparing and filing applications and motions with the Immigration Court, with high emphasis on bond motions and cancellation of removal applications. Investigating the facts of a case by interviewing clients and handling intakes. Communicating with clients to gather evidence and information in support of their case. Drafting affidavits with clients in support of their case. Electronically file applications and requests with different immigration agencies, including but not limited to: FOIA requests with USCIS, and electronic filing of applications and motions with the Immigration Court Assist attorneys in preparing and filing various immigration forms. Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met and calendared. Organizing petition packets for review and filing. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system. Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals. Preparing files for interviews and or court hearings. Assist with administrative tasks, as needed. Individuals in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisors
REQUIRED
Bilingual (Spanish and English) High school or equivalent (Required), Associate degree or bachelor’s degree (Preferred) Immigration Paralegal experience (At least 2 years of experience) Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Client Management Software experience

$18.00 – $23.00/hour
