Our established law firm, specializing in civil litigation and employment law, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team onsite in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in arbitrations and mediations, and be capable of supporting attorneys through all phases of legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys Prepare and organize documents for arbitration and mediation hearings Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and discovery responses Maintain case files and docket calendars Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and arbitrators/mediators Conduct basic legal research as needed Manage deadlines and track case progress in litigation management software
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal Proven experience with arbitration and mediation processes Strong knowledge of civil litigation and employment law procedures Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Paralegal certification preferred but not required
