Job Description
We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal! $75,000-$85,000 Direct hire On site in Downtown Orlando for 90 days – then hybrid
POSITION SUMMARY
The litigation paralegal collects, analyzes, organizes and maintains factual information and documents, both electronic and hard copies, in accordance with correct legal practice and procedure.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects and evidence collection.
- Drafts legal documents including motions, affidavits, and discovery.
- Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
- Perform all aspects of discovery including drafting and responding of discovery requests and subpoenas; compiling, organizing coding/indexing documents.
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
- Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- On a case-specific basis, oversees the organization and maintenance of the case file and Case Management Spreadsheet delegating to and overseeing the tasks of department assistants and/or file clerks, as needed.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to organize files and workflow.
- Must be available for overtime and travel, as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Paralegal Certificate/Degree OR five years of litigation paralegal experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court laws, court procedures, and electronic discovery.
- Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.
- Experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for workspace, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with clients and vendors.
- Experience maintaining processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files.
- Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings.
- Experience using e-discovery databases and litigation support software for document production, witness files and deposition transcripts and exhibits.
