Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal with at least five years of experience specifically in personal injury litigation, focusing heavily on motor vehicle accident and medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in case management, discovery preparation, medical records review, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
Managing litigation timelines and deadlines proactively. Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Reviewing and analyzing medical records, bills, and treatment histories. Coordinating and scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials. Communicating professionally and effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel. Assisting attorneys with case strategy, settlement negotiations, and trial preparations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of relevant paralegal experience in personal injury litigation (motor vehicle accidents and medical malpractice required). Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with legal research platforms and document management systems (Lexis & Filevine). Familiarity with court procedures and filing systems, particularly in Florida state courts. Certification or formal paralegal education preferred but not mandatory if experience demonstrates equivalent capability.
