Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will provide critical support to attorneys in managing legal cases, preparing documents, and ensuring smooth trial preparation. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise in commercial litigation and federal and state court procedures to a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage case files using case management software to ensure accurate and organized documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee e-filing processes for both state and federal courts.
- Handle trial preparation by organizing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, and preparing trial notebooks.
- Maintain and manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling court dates and meetings.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide relevant findings to attorneys.
- Oversee billing functions and ensure accurate timekeeping for client matters.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progress.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Paralegal, preferably in commercial litigation.
- Proficiency with case management software, FILEVINE, and e-filing systems for state and federal courts.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and court systems, including trial preparation and discovery.
- Excellent drafting skills for legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Proven ability to manage billing processes and maintain accurate records.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
