Prestigious domestic law firm seeks a Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal to join its expanding Florida group.
Candidate will have the following:
5+ years of experience handling all phases of estate and trust administration, including probate (knowledge of New Jersey, New York and Florida probate a plus) ; Experience within a law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent).
Academic credentials:
College degree and/or paralegal certificate, will also consider a JD/paralegal candidate ; Strong research, verbal & written communication skills required ; Keen knowledge of estate tax software (ONESOURCE/Fast Tax), HotDocs and Microsoft. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing federal and state estate tax returns and fiduciary accountings.
- Communicating with clients, financial planners, accountants, trustees and family members.
- Distributing estate assets, trust funding and deed work.
- Preparing asset spreadsheets and probate pleadings.
- Transferring assets to beneficiaries and filing all paperwork necessary to receive benefits.
- Performing other job related duties as assigned and assist attorneys when needed.
