Lead Paralegal for Personal Injury Litigation The Connection House Marietta, GA 30066
- Hybrid work Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury The Connection House is currently seeking a highly motivated and driven full-time litigation paralegal for our latest client, a well-established personal injury law firm located in Acworth, GA.
The firm is supported by a team of 3 paralegals, 1 assistant, and 1 attorney who also handles business disputes and construction litigation. The firm’s chief attorney, himself, has personally secured over $12 million in client recoveries, showcasing the firm’s proven track record of success. This client is seeking a litigation paralegal who aligns with their desired personality—someone who consistently delivers measurable results while maintaining high energy, reliability and integrity in all aspects of their practice. The candidate will be able to utilize staff to aid in their day-to-day work and have access to Lexis Nexis with AI resources. After a successful first month in the office to get acclimated, the candidate will go HYBRID. Candidates must live no more than a 30 – mile radius of Acworth, GA. Please note that our client employs a comprehensive interview process, including a scenario-based assessment such as a fact pattern, to thoroughly evaluate the experience required for this role. - Minimum 4 years’ personal injury litigation paralegal experience.
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm first month in office
- Strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing, grammar and research
- Have command of the GA Civil Practice Act
- Have command of the evidence code
- Bilingual would be preferred, but not required Responsibilities
Case Management:
Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception to resolution. Organize and maintain case files, medical requests, medical records, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence. Track case progress and ensure checklists are up-to-date on a daily basis. Maintain list of tasks assigned, and ensure firm meets all deadlines.
Legal Research:
Conduct thorough legal research using various resources such as legal databases, and books. Summarize findings and prepare memoranda of law for attorneys.
Discovery Support:
Assist with the discovery process by drafting and responding to discovery requests, organizing documents, and coordinating document production.
Document Drafting and Review:
Draft documents for all aspects of a case from pursuit through post suit. Review and analyze documents and document summaries as needed.
Trial Preparation:
Assist in preparing for trial, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Coordinate with attorneys and external vendors to ensure all trial materials are prepared and organized.
Client Communication:
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as directed by attorneys. Maintain professional and courteous communication at all times.
Administrative Tasks:
Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and processing expenses. Assist with billing and invoicing as needed.
Technology Utilization:
Utilize legal software and technology tools effectively to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Stay updated on advancements in legal technology relevant to the litigation practice area.
