Legal Assistant/Paralegal Slappey & Sadd, LLC Atlanta, GA 30328 Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our injury law firm. As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will work primarily with our Workers’ Compensation Team, assist in various administrative tasks for the firm, and communicate with clients, opposing parties, insurance company representatives, and medical providers. Duties Create, organize, and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are accurately labeled and filed Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions Perform clerical tasks, including answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries Provide general administrative support to the legal team Secure records from opposing parties and non-parties such as medical providers Manage new client intake, including lead follow-up, file creation, and data entry Ensure client needs are met, maintain ongoing client contact Schedule and organize weekly calendar meeting for the Workers’ Compensation team. Manage case calendars and deadlines, ensuring timely filings and compliance with legal requirements. Drafting and filing Board Forms and other pleading, such as discovery, motions, briefs, and exhibits. Requirements Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal or similar role Demonstrated proficiency in various case management software platforms and a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Paralegal certification is preferred but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional communication skills Ability to assist with litigated matters is an advantage If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and grow in the legal field, we encourage you to apply for this position.
