Role and Responsibilities 1. Organize and maintain files, both physically and digitally. 2. Prepare and proofread legal documents and correspondence. 3. Research, compile, and organize case information. 4. Coordinate client relations and scheduling. 5. Coordinate and schedule court reporting and courier services. 6. Communicate verbally and in writing with clients. 7. Monitor case progress, track deadlines, and organize material for hearings, mediations, and trials. 8. Extensive involvement in trial and hearing prep, including organizing discovery, preparing witness notebooks, and organizing evidence both physically and digitally. 9. Assist with accounting/billing and expense tracking and submission. 10. Ingesting, processing and organizing e-discovery. 11. Preparing form discovery; filing pleadings, motions, and notices; mailing Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred High level of proficiency with technology (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat) Familiarity with iManage and Orion preferred Attention to detail required High standard of professional excellence Strong work ethic Accounting/Accounts Payable/Receivable Experience The ability to work independently as well as working well in a fast-paced team environment. The ability to adjust to changing priorities. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant will assist multiple attorneys with handling and processing litigation matters, including administrative and clerical duties. Excellent communication skills Detail oriented, strong organization skills Solid legal knowledge Experience with e-discovery and legal research Extensive experience with trial prep, e-filing, and trial organization The regular hours for this position are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
