Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to provide comprehensive support to attorneys working on a wide range of real estate transactions. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage complex document preparation and assist in high-level closing and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine and analyze title commitments, title documentation, and surveys to flag potential issues and ensure compliance Review zoning, environmental, and other regulatory reports for consistency with project requirements Coordinate directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve discrepancies or make necessary updates Maintain and track due diligence materials for transactions and corporate filings Assist in compiling and organizing documentation for financing packages and government agency review Prepare real estate closing documentation and support all aspects of the closing process Draft entity formation paperwork including articles of incorporation/organization and governing documents Generate corporate resolutions, officer certificates, and other governance documents Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to collect key information efficiently Manage transaction timelines and ensure smooth coordination from pre-closing through post-closing Organize digital and physical files, manage offsite storage requests, and maintain accurate recordkeeping systems Assemble and finalize post-closing binders Maintain frequent client communication throughout each transaction Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines Perform additional administrative or legal support tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a real estate paralegal role, ideally within a law firm or related industry Strong background in transactions involving affordable housing, tax credits, and public financing Bachelor’s degree or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and time management skills Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and meet tight deadlines
