Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal with a strong background in both criminal and civil law. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about justice and client advocacy. This role involves working closely with attorneys to prepare legal documents, manage case files, communicate with clients, and support litigation efforts from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence Conduct legal research and summarize findings Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and court deadlines Assist with trial preparation and coordination Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Support attorneys during hearings, trials, and depositions Manage evidence and prepare exhibits Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a paralegal in both criminal and civil law Strong working knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, reliable, and self-motivated Ability to work independently and as part of a team A heart for service and a passion for making a positive impact
Preferred:
Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program Experience working in a faith-based or community-oriented legal setting How to
