PM Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal/Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in various areas of law, including court filings, corporate law, successions, commercial real estate, and elder law. Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified Paralegals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant entities. Assist attorneys in corporate law matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements. Manage succession cases, including probate and estate administration. Handle commercial real estate transactions, including document preparation and due diligence. Provide support in elder law cases, including guardianship and estate planning. Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases. Maintain and organize client files and legal documents. Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances. Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals. Perform other administrative and legal support duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary. Certified Paralegal preferred. Proficiency in legal research and court filing procedures. Strong understanding of corporate law, successions, commercial real estate, and elder law. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
