The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, specifically personal injury law and insurance defense. This role works closely with attorneys to develop cases, review and summarize medical records, medical billing records, personnel files, obtaining records through various court systems, preparing cases for trial with witness folders and bench books. We are seeking a Paralegal who has worked in a defense law firm for at least 3-5 years. Duties Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, subpoenas and discovery. Manage and organize case files. Obtain, and summarize medical records and medical bills. Working closely with experts in litigation. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates. Support attorneys and help with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders, trial presentations and bench books. Qualifications Strong knowledge of local rules, filing pleadings and working in a legal environment. Proficiency in managing documents, pleadings, and investigative materials. Excellent proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Prior experience in a legal setting is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
