Job DetailsLitigation Paralegal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
CaseManagement:

Assist attorneys in all stages of civil litigation,including drafting pleadings, motions, and discoveryrequests/responses.

Document Management:

Organize and maintain casefiles, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easilyaccessible.

Legal Research:

Conduct legal research on relevant caselaw, statutes, and regulations to support case strategies andarguments.

Trial Preparation:

Assist in trial preparation bycompiling exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating withcourt personnel.

Client Communication:

Communicate with clients,opposing counsel, and court officials professionally andefficiently.

Deadline Management:

Manage deadlines for filings,responses, and court appearances, ensuring compliance with courtrules and procedures.

Billing and Timekeeping:

Record billablehours accurately and assist with preparing invoices for clients.

Litigation Paralegal Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’sdegree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.

Three to five years of experience as a paralegal in litigation.

Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellentorganizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite and case management software. Adaptabilityand willingness to take on new tasks as they arise. Ability to workindependently and effectively with minimal supervision. Ability tostructure complex projects efficiently and set/adjust prioritieseffectively; superior attention to detail; excellent judgement anduse of discretion. Ability to manage multiple projects and abilityto work individually on a project and on multiple projectsconcurrently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
