Job Description

Paralegal Timbs Injury Law Jackson, MS 39216

About Us:

At Timbs Injury Law, we represent real people—not corporations, not insurance companies. We stand up for those who’ve been hurt and pushed aside, and we do it with compassion, grit, and professionalism. We’re a growing plaintiff’s firm that believes in doing the work the right way: with attention to detail, strong communication, and deep respect for the people we serve. We’re looking for a smart, reliable, and driven Paralegal to join our team. This is a full-time position in Jackson, Mississippi.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This role is essential to how we serve our clients. You’ll work closely with the attorney to keep files moving, deadlines met, and clients informed.

Responsibilities include:

Talking with clients: You’ll often be the first voice our clients hear. You’ll answer questions, give updates, and help them feel seen and heard.

Drafting documents:

From discovery responses to letters and pleadings, you’ll help prepare accurate, polished legal documents.

Managing case files:

Track deadlines, keep calendars updated, and help coordinate depositions, mediations, and hearings.

Organizing information:

Keep our records up-to-date and well-organized, both digitally and in the file room.

Helping wherever needed:

Whether it’s mailing out letters or reviewing medical records, you’ll be part of a team that does what needs to be done.

Who We’re Looking For:

Someone who cares. Someone who wants to do meaningful work. Someone who can take a task, follow it through, and ask the right questions when needed. We’re not looking for perfection—we’re looking for reliability, integrity, and a willingness to learn.

You should be:

Comfortable speaking with clients from all walks of life Organized and good at juggling multiple tasks Strong with writing and grammar Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (experience with legal software is a bonus) Able to take direction but also work independently Someone who shows up on time and keeps your word

Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma required. A paralegal certificate or associate degree is a plus, but not mandatory.

Experience:

Prior experience in a personal injury firm is helpful but not required. If you’re new but driven, we’ll train the right person.

Benefits:

We believe that if we ask you to give your best at work, it’s only right that we take care of you outside of work, too.

We offer:

Health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield (medical, vision, and dental) Optional group insurance plans if you’d like to tailor extra coverage Paid time off and sick leave Most federal holidays off, plus a guaranteed extra day off at Christmas and Thanksgiving A workplace that respects your family life and your time We value people who respect the trust and responsibility given to them—and when you do that, we do everything we can to respect and support you in return. Interested? Send us your resume and a short note telling us why you think this role could be a good fit for you. We care less about perfect credentials and more about finding someone who cares and is ready to work hard for people who need us.
