OF POSITION
The Paralegal position involves a wide range of paralegal duties such as maintain files, drafting legal documents for review, and filing documents (including e-filing), with the courts. The paralegal will also communicate with attorneys, judges, court personnel, company branches and customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Drafting and preparing legal documents for review Filing document with the courts (including e-filing) Preparing cover letters and e-mails Look up information on government websites Calendar management – deadlines, judgment renewals Communication with attorneys, judges, court personnel, customers, and company branches Auditing and calculating account balances Requesting checks for the courts Updating account information in company system
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Degree in Paralegal Studies 4-year degree is preferred. Experience in Bankruptcy / Real Estate Foreclosure / Legal Collections is preferred.
