Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and drafting skills, experience managing client files, and a proactive approach to supporting attorneys throughout all phases of case development, negotiation, and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in all stages of case preparation, from intake through settlement or trial Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence Organize and maintain client files, medical records, and case management systems Conduct legal research related to personal injury and workers’ compensation statutes and case law Prepare settlement demand packages and compile supporting documentation Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to gather case-related information Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, medical exams, and court appearances Monitor case deadlines and maintain attorney calendars Assist with trial preparation and provide courtroom support as needed
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation law ideal Knowledge of state-specific legal procedures and court filing systems Proficiency in legal case management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, MyCase) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Bilingual (Spanish or another language) is a plus but not required
