Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant Position Available In Catawba, North Carolina

Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant Smith Immigration Law Firm Hickory, NC 28602 On behalf of clients, prepare and file immigration petitions with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of State. Prepare written motions and other filings to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and various immigration courts. Meet with clients and/or communicate with clients via telephone, email or text to obtain information & evidence necessary to complete an immigration filing or respond to client requests. Communicate with clients to remind them of all upcoming appointments, deadlines and evidence requests. Open client files (both physical file and an online file). Follow up with new clients and assist them in starting their case. Maintain firm’s database of clients and cases by entering case-status information into the law firm’s case management system. Close client files (both physical file and an online file). Notify clients of case closure and return original documents. Set reminders for document renewals and eligibility to change immigration status. Meet with supervising attorney for weekly case review meetings.
