SALARY GRADE
Flat Rated The Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 11, seeks a qualified candidate to provide support services to the office. Duties include but are not limited to the following: answering the telephone and interacting with the public and law enforcement; setting up physical files in felony cases; generating criminal histories through DCI and structured sentencing worksheets through CJLeads; requesting officer’s initial incident reports and any additional discovery; gathering information to assist in the prosecution of cases, and any other duties as assigned. The qualified applicant must be able to: calmly handle stressful situations and de-escalate potential conflicts; be comfortable using multiple cloud-based technologies. Must have a valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities /
Competencies Knowledge of:
court system and procedures; legal terminology; and community resources to refer victims and witnesses.
Skill in:
Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software; accurately typing 45 wpm Ability to: interview to elicit information from victims and witnesses to assure appropriate services; coordinate and schedule the daily operations of the victim and witness program; manage the court appearances of victims and witnesses to ensure their presence in the courtroom when needed; communicate orally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement officers, officials of related agencies and the general public; and calmly handle stressful situations. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Graduation from high school or high school equivalency certificate and two (2) years of legal secretarial experience.
