Residential Real Estate Paralegal Whitaker & Hamer, PLLC 121 East Main Street, Clayton, NC 27520 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organized. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our legal operations, particularly in the field of environmental law. The successful candidate will have a strong background in legal research and administrative support, with proficiency in relevant software. Duties Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development. Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts. Conduct title searches. Prepare settlement statements and manage the assembly of a real estate closing. Experince in both the preclosing and postclosing parts of a real estate transaction. Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records. Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for cases. Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in executive administrative support functions. Knowledge of environmental law is highly desirable. Experience with legal administrative tasks and procedures. Competence in conducting legal research using various databases. Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all documentation. Strong clerical skills for efficient office operations. Experience with Softpro Select.
