The Paralegal will provide legal and administrative assistance to the Chief Legal Officer. Assisting with day-to-day legal and administrative work including document preparation, contracts, mergers/acquisitions, corporate transactions, legal and regulatory research, compliance projects and related projects. This role is eligible for hybrid work.
Essential Functions:
Draft, review, and maintain legal documents including practitioner agreements, business associate agreements, hospital agreements, and vendor contracts. Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and CMS guidance. Assist with litigation support, including subpoena responses, discovery coordination, and document management. Support compliance initiatives, audits, and internal investigations by organizing documentation and tracking regulatory deadlines. Manage corporate governance documentation, including board minutes, licensure and entity filings, and entity records. Maintain legal databases, legal hold files, and contract lifecycle systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of 5 years as a legal assistant/paralegal working closely with senior level attorney(s) in a law firm or corporate legal environment required. 3 years of experience in healthcare law or associated field of law; Knowledge of the healthcare regulatory environment and relevant statutes; Knowledge of legal principles, practices, terminology and research techniques.
