Real Estate Paralegal Lorenz and Creed Law Firm, PLLC 230 North Bennett Street, Southern Pines, NC 28387 Overview Lorenz and Creed Law Firm, PLLC is a boutique law firm in the heart of Southern Pines focused on Real Estate Law, Family Law, and Estate Planning and Administration. We pride ourselves on delivering efficient, accurate, and client-focused legal services. Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our real estate operations and ensuring smooth transactions for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a basic understanding of the North Carolina real estate closing process, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts related to real property transactions. Maintain accurate records of transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Draft title opinions, settlement statements and prepare for closings by gathering necessary documentation and liaising with real estate agents, loan officers, attorneys, and clients. Coordinate escrow activities, including managing timelines and communication between parties. Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to financing and property assessments. Provide administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing files. Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process. Experience Previous experience in real estate is preferred. Proficiency with industry tools (e.g., SoftPro, Qualia, or similar closing software) and the Microsoft Suite of tools. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic math proficiency is essential for handling financial documents accurately. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective client interaction. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
