About the Role We are seeking an estate planning paralegal to support our estate planning and estate administration practices. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in North Carolina estate law, technical skills (Clio preferred), and the ability to take ownership of cases. Project oriented leadership experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate with a strong desire to grow.

Key Responsibilities Estate Planning Paralegal:
Project Management:

Oversee and manage estate planning projects from intake to execution, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and on schedule. Draft & Prepare Documents

  • Wills, trusts, POAs, healthcare directives. Client Intake & Communication
  • Gather information, maintain contact. Funding & Asset Transfers
  • Assist with trust funding, beneficiary updates. Execution & Notarization
  • Coordinate signings, ensure compliance.
Estate Administration Paralegal:

Probate & Court Filings

  • File petitions, inventories, accountings. Asset Identification & Distribution
  • Locate, value, and transfer assets. Creditor Claims & Estate Debts
  • Manage notifications and settlements. Estate Tax & Accounting Assistance
  • Support tax prep and financial tracking.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of estate planning or administration experience (NC-specific preferred). Strong project management skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. Project-oriented mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute estate planning matters efficiently. Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a client-centered approach. Proficiency in MicroSoft Office (Outlook, Work & Excel) and a legal software program (Clio or similar). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases. Desire to grow into a leadership role (if less experienced).
