Our client, a respected and long-standing general practice law firm based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced paralegal to support a busy real estate practice handling both commercial and residential transactions.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and be experienced in managing all aspects of real estate transactions from contract to closing. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and strong communication with clients, attorneys, lenders, and title companies.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review real estate closing documents for residential and commercial transactions
  • Perform title searches, review title commitments, and resolve title issues
  • Coordinate with lenders, realtors, clients, and attorneys throughout the closing process
  • Draft deeds, settlement statements, and other related legal documents
  • Order and review surveys, title insurance, payoffs, and other closing-related documents
  • Manage escrow accounts and handle funds disbursement
  • Ensure all documents are properly executed, notarized, and recorded post-closing
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date transaction files
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal, preferably in a law firm setting
  • In-depth knowledge of North Carolina real estate laws and closing procedures
  • Proficiency with title software and closing platforms (e.g., SoftPro, Simplifile, etc.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple transactions and meet deadlines efficiently
  • A team-oriented attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
