Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedParalegal to join our legal team in Princeton, NJ. This role willfocus on providing crucial support to our Asset Managementdepartment by independently processing, reviewing, and negotiating(as necessary) a variety of real estate related documents,including easements, permits, and other agreements arising from theongoing management of our national property portfolio. The idealcandidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial realestate documentation and have the ability to work autonomouslyafter an initial onboarding period.
Responsibilities:
Independentlyprocess a high volume of asset management related legal documents,including but not limited to easements, licenses, permits,amendments, and other real estate agreements. Review and analyzelegal documents to ensure compliance with company policies, legalrequirements, and existing agreements. Negotiate terms andconditions of standard asset management documents with externalparties, under the guidance of attorneys when necessary. Draftroutine legal documents and correspondence related to assetmanagement activities. Serve as a point of contact for internalteams (Asset Management, Property Management, etc.) and externalparties regarding the status and requirements of various documents.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files ofall relevant legal documentation. Track critical dates andobligations within legal documents and proactively follow up asneeded. Assist attorneys with special projects and other legalmatters as assigned. Conduct basic legal research related to realestate and property management issues. Ensure adherence to companypolicies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years ofparalegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department,preferably with a focus on commercial real estate. Demonstratedexperience processing, reviewing, and negotiating (as necessary)easements, permits, and other commercial real estate relateddocuments. Strong understanding of commercial real estateprinciples and terminology. Excellent analytical, problem-solving,and organizational skills. Ability to work independently,prioritize tasks effectively, and manage a high workload in afast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail andaccuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
