Our Personal Injury Paralegal will work closely with clients, attorneys, and other staff members to ensure that all aspects of case management are handled effectively. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys in the preparation and management of personal injury cases. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years experience in Personal Injury law Ability to manage workload, juggle multiple activities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced office setting with a positive attitude Familiarity with NJ Court Rules, legal procedures, LEAP, and E-Courts Excellent secretarial and organization skills Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, have superior attention to detail, and interact well with clients Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong case management experience from intake, and pre-litigation, through litigation to case end Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program, a plus but not required Fluency in Spanish a plus Responsibilities Familiarity with plaintiff’s personal injury litigation in all phases of litigation from the start of case to trial Assist in preparation of litigation-related documents, including, but not limited to pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, interrogatories, and discovery requests/responses Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, law firms, medical offices, insurance adjusters, process servers, court personnel, and more Obtain/document outstanding medical, Medicare, WC, and other liens Organize client file, track progress, maintain deadlines, medical record gathering and tracking, and communicate with clients Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain litigation calendar (meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, other important dates) Manage and maintain case files, ensuring materials are organized, accessible, and up to date with regular client contact Provide administrative support to attorneys to enhance law office effectiveness Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members Prepare trial exhibits, trial notebooks, and other materials essential for courtroom presentations Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession in all interactions and tasks Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance Professional development opportunities Collaborative and supportive work environment Paid sick time Paid time off
