Litigation Paralegal The Law Offices of Geoffrey T. Mott, P.C. 7600 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, NY 11797 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with legal standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a passion for environmental law. Duties Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules and coordinating meetings. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support ongoing cases and litigation strategies. Assist in document review and preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions. Draft, write, and transcribe legal documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to legal protocols. Perform data entry tasks related to case management systems and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with attorneys in preparing for litigation by gathering evidence and organizing case files. Stay updated on developments in environmental law to provide relevant insights during case preparation. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed. Requirements Proven experience in a law office setting, preferably as a paralegal or in a similar role. Strong skills in legal research methodologies and document review processes. Excellent writing skills with the ability to transcribe complex information accurately. Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation. Familiarity with litigation processes and the ability to assist attorneys in trial preparation. Knowledge of environmental law is highly desirable but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration within the team.
