Paralegal Position Available In New York, New York

Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in New York, New York. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys in their litigation practice, contributing to the preparation, organization, and management of legal documents and deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen interest in the legal field.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare legal briefs, declarations, exhibits, and proofs of service for submission to court.
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence tailored to case requirements.
• Manage filing deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural rules in state and federal courts.
• Edit, proofread, and format documents to meet firm and legal standards.
• Conduct legal research and provide assistance with document reviews.
• Maintain and update calendars with legal dates, deadlines, and court schedules.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and vendors to facilitate case progress.
• Assemble and organize hearing, deposition, and trial binders to support attorney preparation. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a well-regarded college or university.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a paralegal or similar legal support role.
• Proficiency in legal software such as Aderant, CompuLaw, and case management tools.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).
• Strong organizational and calendar management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage billing functions and administrative tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
