Paralegal 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Harrisburg, PA 17111 Job Overview We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support a high-volume Workers’ Compensation practice. In this fast-paced, client-focused role, you’ll work closely with attorneys to ensure timely, accurate handling of legal matters, case documentation, and administrative processes. You’ll also contribute to broader office support needs, including reception backup and client intake. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing deadlines independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in a team-based environment. What You’ll Be Doing as a
Paralegal:
Assist with new client meetings and intake interviews Organize, review, and manage client documentation and follow-up requests Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and checklists as cases progress Draft letters and legal correspondence under attorney direction Request, organize, and summarize medical and billing records Handle daily WCAIS tasks: filing petitions, uploading exhibits, updating calendars Coordinate client communications every 60 days or as directed Prepare settlement documentation, affidavits, and child support lien checks Ensure proper execution and submission of settlement paperwork Track litigation costs and communicate with defense counsel Support billing and invoice processing tasks through Needles and records portals Schedule client appointments and manage communication with clients, adjusters, and attorneys Ensure accurate case notes and documentation for all communications Support case closing processes and cross-team legal projects as needed
Other Office Responsibilities:
Provide phone coverage during receptionist absences and breaks Participate in intake rotation for potential clients Assist with community outreach or marketing events as needed Support other legal departments as directed What You’ll Need to
Be Successful:
Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a deadline-driven environment High level of discretion and professionalism Comfort working with sensitive legal information and clients under pressure Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and legal software (e.g., Needles, WCAIS) Familiarity with legal terminology, case flow, and document management
Qualifications:
High school diploma required Paralegal certification preferred Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus 2-4 years of law firm or legal support experience Experience with case management systems and call center/client communication is a plus
