Position:
Litigation Paralegal & Legal Assistant (Criminal Law & Veterans Law Focus) We’re looking for a driven and adaptable Litigation Paralegal who’s ready to be more than just support staff—you’ll be a critical part of the launch and growth of our firm. In addition to assisting with criminal and veterans’ law matters, you’ll wear multiple hats: legal assistant, operational collaborator, and strategic partner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a startup-style environment and wants to grow alongside the firm. Key Responsibilities Assist with criminal defense and veterans’ benefits cases from intake through resolution Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests in both federal and state courts Perform substantive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other tools Maintain detailed, organized case files; manage discovery and document production Schedule hearings, communicate with clients, experts, and court staff Track court deadlines, hearing dates, and deliverables Provide administrative and executive-level support including calendar management, correspondence, and file organization Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a paralegal with direct exposure to criminal law and/or veterans’ law Highly proficient with legal tech tools (Clio preferred) and court filing systems Excellent writing, research, and communication skills Willingness to take initiative and help run the backend of a growing firm Able to travel occasionally to courts across eastern Pennsylvania Why Join EL Law?
