This position will support a three-attorney litigation team that handles probate litigation, complex estate administration, guardianship and conservatorships, and related transactions. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, great attention to detail and will be able to effectively interact with clients in a professional and polished manner. You must be able to largely work independently and bring a positive energy to work with you each day. This position is 100% in the office. Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, motions, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the supervision of a lawyer
- Witness or notarize clients signing legal documents
- Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by summarizing research, reviewing and organizing discovery, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
- Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
- Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling court appearances, mediations, and client meetings, and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents Qualifications
- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficient with practice management software
- Proficient with document drafting software
- Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies
- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and other attorneys Compensation PMC offers a casual work environment, paid time off, a 38-hour work week, and 401(k) with company match after one year of employment.
