Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Jr Paralegal to join our an inhouse legal team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will support attorneys by handling tasks related to commercial real estate transactions, contract drafting, and legal due diligence. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex legal projects while enhancing your expertise in transactional law.
- Assist attorneys in managing commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, land development, and dispositions.
- Draft and review contracts, purchase agreements, and sale agreements with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough due diligence for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Prepare and organize legal documents related to real estate development and construction projects.
- Collaborate with team members to address legal matters and provide timely support to attorneys.
- Research and analyze legal issues pertaining to commercial real estate and transactional law.
- Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys to ensure smooth transaction processes.
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on critical tasks to support efficient case management.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling and correspondence, to enhance workflow efficiency. Requirements
- Experience as a Legal Assistant or Jr Paralegal in a commercial real estate related legal role.
- Proficiency in handling commercial real estate transactions and associated legal documentation.
- Strong skills in drafting contracts, purchase agreements, and sale agreements.
- Familiarity with transactional law and real estate development processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough legal research.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with attorneys, clients, and team members.
- Proficiency in legal software and tools for document management and research.
