Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal with experience in Workers’ Compensation and law to join our team in Columbia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of case management, litigation support, and client communication within these practice areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements Manage case files from intake through resolution Conduct fact investigations and gather relevant medical records and documentation Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, and trials Maintain communication with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely filings Organize and summarize medical records and accident reports Coordinate with insurance adjusters and other involved parties
Qualifications:
Experience in Workers’ compensation law or personal injury Knowledge of South Carolina legal procedures and court systems Proficiency in legal management software and Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Associate’s degree or equivalent required
