What you get to do:
- Schedule depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
- Issue subpoenas and manage case calendars
- Review and analyze medical records, draft chronologies, and organize files
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Communicate with clients, experts, and insurance adjusters
- Handle trial prep and maintain detailed documentation for 100+ active cases
- Serve as a scheduling lead
- anticipate conflicts, collaborate with opposing counsel/paralegals, and resolve issues effectively
What you need to succeed: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in insurance defense litigation
- Strong scheduling and case management skills
- High proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a heavy workload independently
- Experience reviewing medical records and coordinating with external experts
