We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in managing workers’ compensation cases from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and a strong understanding of workers’ compensation laws and procedures. Training can be provided for more entry level associates with a background in the legal field.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing workers’ compensation claims and related legal documents Manage case files, maintain calendars, and track deadlines Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication with clients Request and organize medical records and employment documents Prepare discovery responses, subpoenas, and settlement documents Schedule depositions, hearings, and independent medical examinations (IMEs) Communicate with insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel Ensure compliance with applicable court rules and filing deadlines
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent required 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in workers’ compensation law Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
