Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in reviewing grants, contracts, amendments, and various procurement documents. Support the evaluation and preparation of records for release in response to public records requests, data inquiries, medical record requests, and media inquiries. Help streamline and manage the workflow for responding to these requests using an automated case management system. Provide legal assistance across departmental programs, ensuring compliance with public health laws and regulations. Collaborate effectively with departmental teams, administrative personnel, and other state agencies. Carry out special projects and assignments as directed by attorneys.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to follow-up and task completion. Outstanding verbal and written communication, effective time management, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential.
Educational Requirements:
A degree or certification from an accredited institution in one of the following: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal or Legal Assistant Studies Paralegal Certificate Completion of at least one year (28 semester hours) of graduate-level law school
Preferred:
At least one year of relevant work experience.
