Position Summary:
Reporting to the Paralegal Manager, the Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal will work directly with Attorneys in the Corporate and Securities and Real Estate Finance and Banking and Practice Groups.
Position Responsibilities:
Ability to convey information to individuals at all levels within the firm in a courteous and professional manner; strong service orientation. Preparing, revising and/or filing various documents, certificates, statements, amendments and forms. Performing UCC and other searches and analyzing and summarizing results. Preparing and tracking closing checklists and transaction documentation from initiation of a transaction through completion of post-closing tasks, including closing binders. Assisting with preparation of closing statements. Reviewing due diligence materials. Proficiency in working with CT Corporation, Capitol Services and other registered agent entities and State Business Offices (normally Secretary of States) to form, maintain and dissolve entities, file necessary paperwork, and file/amend/terminate Uniform Commercial Code filings Draft form documents related to entity formation and governance Preparation of corporate transaction exhibits; compare and contrast exhibits and identify discrepancies for follow up Understand payment procedures for filings and registered agent services. Work directly with attorneys and clients during closings and corporate transactions Prioritize a high volume of time-sensitive projects, with the ability to multi-task, maintain attention to detail, and work well under pressure Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies, preferred
Experience:
3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferred Skills Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Superior interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication across a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys and staff while maintaining high level of work quality and customer service.
