The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of various areas of law, including Family Law and Criminal Law. This role involves supporting attorneys in case preparation, conducting legal research, and managing documentation effectively. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that our legal processes run smoothly and efficiently. Duties Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy. Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and transcribing legal documents such as contracts and pleadings. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases. Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for various legal tasks. Utilize PCLaw software for case management, billing, and document storage. Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department. Strong knowledge of Family Law and Criminal Law is preferred. Proficiency in conducting legal research using various databases and resources. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interviewing skills to effectively gather information from clients and witnesses. Ability to transcribe documents accurately and efficiently. Project management skills to oversee the progress of various legal projects.
