Job Description :
As a full-time Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for working closely with our Attorney and Client Services Coordinator to facilitate the completion of Estate Plans, Probate, and Medicaid matters. A successful candidate will be expected to accomplish the following activities:
- Ensure quality customer service to clients, potential clients, and their families
- Draft estate plans, including Trusts, Wills, Advance Care Directives, and Power of Attorney documents
- Draft Probate documents
- Manage the calendar and tasks to ensure weekly and monthly goals and deadlines are completed on time
- Assist with signing meetings as needed
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and collaborate with other team members
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Task management skills are critical
- Administrative/clerical/technical skills, and the ability to learn to operate necessary office equipment and software
- Technology know-how is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple case files and projects
- Demonstrate aptitude for working in sensitive environments that require a high degree of confidentiality
- Skilled writer with attention to details and tone
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new information and skills
- Highly developed time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
