Litigation Paralegal Cochran Firm – Mid South 85 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103 Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. We are a boutique Plaintiff oriented civil litigations firm. We handle potentially high value cases only. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of personal injury and wrongful death civil litigation. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring compliance with legal standards. The Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, from case inception to resolution. Responsibilities Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and evidence. Conduct thorough document reviews to identify relevant information and prepare summaries for legal teams. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Manage case files using effective legal case management practices to ensure timely updates and compliance with deadlines. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Research applicable laws and regulations pertinent to ongoing cases, including tribal law regulations and environmental law. Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and documentation. Experience Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is required. minimum of five (5) years paralegal experience required. Familiarity with personal injury and wrongful death litigation is preferred but not mandatory. Strong administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
